Indoor Air Quality & Duct Cleaning

With growing awareness of indoor air quality, Cross Environmental Services (CES) has expanded our services to include HVAC system cleaning and maintenance. Leveraging our expertise in controlling airborne hazards, we have cleaned and restored over ten miles of ductwork and air-handling units in commercial, institutional, residential, and industrial facilities over the past decade. Our work also includes indoor air quality remediation for buildings affected by water damage, mold, fungi, bacteria, excessive dust, odors, and infestations. HVAC systems are common sources of contaminants like mold and dust, which can impact health. Cleaning these systems improves air quality, system efficiency, and longevity. CES uses Source Removal methods, employing powerful vacuums to dislodge and remove debris from ducts, helping systems operate more effectively and efficiently.

On-Site Crushing & Recycling

Cross Environmental Services (CES) embraces recycling as a core part of our operations, having invested in two Eagle Concrete Recycling Units for high-efficiency recycling.

Our process begins with demolition crews clearing and sorting concrete and asphalt debris, which is then reduced in size using specialized equipment like hydraulic hammers or densifying attachments. The material is crushed and processed at a rate of up to 200 tons per hour, producing recycled aggregates that can be sold or used on-site for structural fill, road base, or other construction needs. This approach not only reduces project costs by eliminating disposal and trucking fees but also supports sustainable construction practices.

We also participate in the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification system, offering clients certification for recycled materials used on-site, contributing to green building credits.

Underground Storage Tank Removal

Cross Environmental Services (CES) offers storage tank removal services as part of its interior and exterior demolition capabilities, handling tanks ranging from small 50-gallon heating oil tanks to large 10,000-gallon gasoline tanks.

As a licensed pollutant storage contractor with pollutant liability insurance of $1,000,000, CES has been performing tank and contaminated soil removal since 1991.

Our process includes evaluating contamination reports, providing pricing, and subcontracting geological and analytical services. Tanks are cleaned using chemicals and high-pressure water, and effluent is removed with a vacuum truck.

CES ensures tanks are safe for transport, and we work with third-party consultants to test soil and water quality during excavation. We also offer contaminated soil removal with third-party oversight and provide statutory closure reports with all necessary documentation for disposal and regulatory compliance.
